Club NYSF recipient presents to the club. On Tuesday 22 March 2022, Western Endeavour was delighted to hear a presentation from Sarah Giles, who has recently returned from a successful National Youth Science Forum. As with previous NYSF participants, Western Endeavour was proud to provide financial support for Sarah to participate in this program. Sarah gave a brief but informative slide show, highlighting how this rich multi-day experience has impacted her plans for future university studies in the field of immunology. She made some interesting friends on the program, and got hands on with some great high-level experiments and demonstrations, including in the area of DNA identification. Sarah is excited to begin tertiary studies in this important field, and indicated that her plans had changed in important ways as a result of what she experienced in the program. Sarah has decided that Monash University in Melbourne will be a better fit for her education plans. We wish Sarah great success in what will no doubt be a very promising career in years ahead, and look forward to having her back again one day to take tell us about how she won the Nobel Prize! | |
