Our international projects. The Rotary Club of Western Endeavour supports two International Projects. In Kenya we manage the Maasai Education Fund. The club helps fund one student undergoing tertiary medical training and has found sponsors to assist four girls through high school. All five recipients are from a small rural town in Kenya called Kimuka. Ms Melanie Peeyian Rianto, the student RCWE sponsored through 5 years of high school in Kenya is now being funded to attend the Kenya Medical Training College in Nairobi. The second international project funded by the club is a Water, Sanitation and Hygiene (WASH) project in Cambodia. Because of the drought in Cambodia during 2020, the club financed the installation of two wells to provide safe and plentiful drinking water for two small villages in the NW of Cambodia. Villagers in Cambodia access clean drinking water supplied by the RCWE. |
